Christmas in the Philippines- Did you know that it lasts 4 months and without cold?

For those who love Christmas, there is something they should know: There is a place in the world where this holiday lasts 4 MONTHS.

Believe it or not, in the Philippines, Christmas starts in September and ends in late January. What if! all this time you can enjoy the decoration that we love so much, the lights and those Christmas songs that make us so good.

But it is not a common Christmas. In the Philippines, there are many traditions and social rituals that you can surely enjoy. We would like to share some to invite you to live this experience with us.

For example, our Misa del Gallo is so called because since December 16 and for 9 days people attend mass at 4:00 am. This was a tradition that was imposed so that the people of the field in the time of the Spanish friars could attend the Church before working and still maintain that and taste the delicious special desserts of rice.

The Panunuluyan is a ritual in which a couple disguised as Joseph and Mary on December 24 will ask for an inn until they reach the church where they will start after the "Mass of Aguinaldo" where the birth of Jesus is celebrated and finally a dinner is held. "Noche Buena" where families share traditional Filipino food.
Also, if you are one of those who loves singing there is a tradition that you will like a lot, if you go singing in the homes of families they will surely receive you with a rich drink of ginger and rice crackers.

If you are thinking of a particularly special Christmas, you are curious about traditions elsewhere, you love this holiday, come to the Philippines and it does not feel good in the cold ... enjoy the longest Christmas of the year. We will wait for you! If this information like you please share and subscribe...
